AVN Conference 2011

On 22nd June, five of our team members travelled to the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham for AVN’s annual, two day National Tax conference, where 600 of the UK’s leading tax experts and professional advisors, met to debate and share best practice tax planning opportunities, issues and trends.

Day one, which kicked off with thought-provoking keynote presentations from industry experts Chris Jones and Tim Good, was followed by afternoon breakout sessions on topics including business restructuring, HMRC dispute resolution, R&D tax credits and capital allowances. 

It wasn’t all work though, as by night the team had great fun at a gala dinner with entertainment late into the night by Beatles tribute band Fab Four.

On the second day, all five spent time at the National Accountants conference to listen to world renowned accountancy experts, Paul Dunn and Mark Lloydbottom talking about ways to enhance client relationships.
