BUDGET DAY 2011

The Chancellor has confirmed that he will present the 2011 Budget on Wednesday 23 March 2011.

This early announcement of the Budget is a very different approach to that adopted by the previous Government.  Most recently, we received only two weeks warning of the date of the last Labour Budget in March 2010, just before the start of the election campaign.

Earlier this year, the Government confirmed it was scrapping the Pre-Budget Report, which Gordon Brown had introduced as an annual mini-Budget and traditionally presented in November each year.

We will of course be reporting on the major implications of the budget as soon as they are announced.
